As a special education teacher, you will support students in our extended school year (ESY) programs. The elementary ESY program will be held at R-STEM, secondary and Transition Plus programs at Richfield Middle School, and early childhood special education (ECSE) at the Central Education Center.

Hours and Information by Location:

ECSE

• Student hours at Central are 8:30-10:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
• Teacher hours are 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
• Dates
  • June 12-13: PD Day (schedule to be determined)
  • June 18 and 20 (Week 1): Tuesday and Thursday.
    • No school on Juneteenth.
  • June 25-27 (Week 2): Tuesday through Thursday
  • July 1-4: No school the week of July 4.
  • July 9-11 (Week 3): Tuesday through Thursday
  • July 16-18 (Week 4): Tuesday through Thursday

R-STEM

• Student hours at R-STEM are 7:30-11:30 a.m.
• Teacher hours are 7:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
• Dates
  • June 12-13: PD Day (schedule to be determined)
  • June 17-21 (Week 1): Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
    • No school on Juneteenth, however, we will have school on Friday this week.
  • June 24-27 (Week 2): Monday through Thursday
  • July 1-4: No school the week of July 4.
  • July 8-11 (Week 3): Monday through Thursday
  • July 15-18 (Week 4): Monday through Thursday

RMS

• Student hours at RMS are 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday (and one Friday).
• Teacher hours at RMS are 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Professional Development:
To support the summer program staff, professional development and orientation will be provided on June 12-13. Staff are expected to attend and will be compensated for this professional development/orientation day.
