Job Title: Industrial Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Onsite in Fairburn, GA for first 6 months, then hybrid 1-2 days a week from home.

Job Summary:
Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of supplier quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products distribution by performing the following duties. Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and of testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities. Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility. Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability. This role is a hands on role which requires physical aptitude. This role will be onsite at our third party logistics office which require someone with ability to be self sufficient managing inbound returns and shipping. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and stand; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift parts, look through boxes, unbox and repair and rework as needed. You could sub-assembled units up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move for a distance of ten feet or less completed product that weigh up to 50 pounds, depending on the type of product.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement process improvements to improve Safety, Quality, and Productivity of our Supply Chain.
  • Evaluate and disposition non-conforming parts and products; Supplier Inbound, Supplier Processing, and Supplier Outbound
  • Develop & Optimize Supplier Quality; Issue SCARs, Measure Supplier performance, and Follow up to ensure continual improvement to meet established KPIs are achieved.
  • Analyze and provide written response for customer returns.
  • Implement corrective actions to eliminate future reoccurrence when technical, material or process issues are responsible.
  • Provide sustaining engineering support to the facility's manufacturing and assembly areas (Kitting) as well as to outside suppliers.
  • Investigates/troubleshoots internal and external customer issues and concerns.
  • Initiate, research, and follow up on ECN's to assure their implementation.
  • Develop and implement procedures for manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and test processes. Conducts training sessions on these procedures.
  • Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Follows all ISO procedures and safety rules, including wearing personal safety equipment.


Basic Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a similar environment required
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Blueprint reading experience required
  • Metrology experience required (Calipers, Micrometers, etc.)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Quality, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering is a plus
  • US Citizen or Greencard holder - no sponsorship
