Job Description

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Supervises Senior Payroll Specialist, Payroll Specialists, and Payroll Assistants to include performance reviews and coaching discussions. Provides appropriate feedback and manage workloads.
  • Under direction of the Payroll Manager, performs all payroll functions including administering tax and insurance information, classifying new hires and rehires, programming benefits, and running weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for each company within the Blattner Family of Companies.
  • Assists in auditing payroll processes and the development and implementation of improved payroll processes and procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Knowledge of business functions and skills normally acquired through an associate's or bachelor's degree in business, accounting or finance, or an equivalent of 5 or more years of on-the-job professional experience with exposure to tax laws, unions, prevailing wage, and payroll regulations for multi-state and multi-company payroll.

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and/or Certified HR Professional (CHRP).
  • Previous supervisory experience.
