The Registered Dietitian, Assistant Sports Dietitian brings nutrition consultation and education to patients, athletes, staff, and the community and is responsible for providing daily support of the Training HAUS nutrition services and fueling station operations. Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health).

Full-time role, Monday - Friday routinely with some weekend event support out of our Training HAUS - Eagan location.

Essential Functions:
  • Work in partnership with Sports Nutrition Specialist at Training HAUS for organization and execution of nutrition station including inventory management, ordering, receiving, storage of nutrition products and student-volunteer and intern management
  • Implement individual, small and large group nutrition and wellness programs relating to sports performance, weight management and general health
  • Provide and distribute appropriate pre- and post-workout fueling and recovery nutrition products and evidence-based education to patients and clients within clinic
  • Assist as needed with clinical and food service responsibilities of Sports Nutrition Coordinator at Training HAUS (meal planning, meal prep program, fueling station oversight, intern management, body composition analysis, progress projects, etc.)
  • Recruit and manage undergraduate student employees: hire volunteers, determine scheduling, employee training and training material updates
  • Coordinate, train and precept dietetic interns with Sports Nutrition Specialist
  • Create and deliver nutrition presentations and communications targeted to high school groups, individual athletes, and other Training HAUS athletes.
  • Introduce dietetics throughout the organization to develop meaningful relationships.
  • Provide dietetic services to partner organizations in the community when assigned (University of St. Thomas and other).
  • Developing, evaluating, revising, and organizing educational materials, classes and teaching materials. Able to utilize electronic and audiovisual systems for education purposes appropriately.
  • Support operations of nutrition service offerings and event operations within interdepartmental Training HAUS programs
  • Provide marketing and discussion of nutrition programs to providers, community connections and patient prospects internally and externally
  • Participate in strategy development and implementation of nutrition-based performance programs
  • Fully understand, describe and promote all aspects of the Training HAUS
  • Help monitor payments, attendance, and accountability reports for programs
  • Participate in community functions relating to Training HAUS outreach events throughout the year
  • Ensure goals and strategies of TCO are implemented in the growth and development of nutrition services and sports performance
  • Practice within the scope of MN State rules/regulations
  • Any and all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from institution credentialed by Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics and (ACEND)
  • Completed ACEND accredited supervised practice program
  • Attained and upheld Registered Dietitian (RD, RDN) credentials through Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Certifications relevant to degree (LD/LDN required previous to or upon hire; Master's preferred).
  • Previous food service or fueling logistic experience required.
  • Proficiency in sports nutrition, including experience working within athletic organizations preferred setting; disordered eating practice experience preferred.

  • Work in the clinic during business hours and willingness to work non-standard work hours or workweek (may include early morning, nights, weekends, or holidays).
  • Travel independently throughout the clinic (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, standing, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required
  • Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines
  • Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner
  • Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations
  • Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Understand and execute a variety of instructions
  • Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Travel to other work locations, if required
