POSITION SUMMARY

As theAccount Manager/Inside Sales RepresentativewithLiberty Plastics,you will be dedicated to growing market share of our Custom Solutions channel, a nearly 40-year-old corrugated plastics product offering a solid reputation and exclusivity through our ongoing innovation. You will manage and grow existing house accounts and drive new sales primarily to end users and through independent field sales representatives, focusing on industrial and manufacturing companies throughout the United States.

Liberty Plastics is a leader in the manufacturing of Wave-Core corrugated plastic and products for a variety of industries and customers. This full-time position reports directly to theNational Sales Managerand is located at Liberty Plastic's headquarters in Golden Valley, Minnesota.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work diligently with customers to design highly customized, technical plastic corrugated solutions including totes, custom containers, OEM components, specific custom solutions, die cut sheets and custom rolls.
  • Proactively prospect and cultivate customer relationships and grow revenue by building and managing the sales pipeline with new and existing customers.
  • Work collaboratively with Liberty Plastics internal resources and associates (customer service, design, prototyping, extrusion, and fabrication) to ensure open communications, understanding, and a win-win approach to customers' needs and requirements.
  • Interact with Manufacturing, Design, Customer Service and Sales to ensure communication and accurate and timely delivery of customer orders.
  • Work with estimator and designer to deliver quotes and product specifications, entering data into CRM program.
  • Identify and represent Liberty Plastics at key tradeshows and networking events to further expand knowledge of industry and educate customers on Liberty Plastics solutions.
  • Troubleshoot issues and find solutions quickly to minimize risk or impact to the customer.
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, market intelligence and competitor information as you work closely with the National Sales Manager to establish and deliver sales and marketing strategies designed to achieve quarterly and annual revenue, net new customers/revenue, and profit contribution goals.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • 5+ years of successful sales and account management experience, using a consultative approach and working with products that are customized and technical in nature
  • Demonstrated understanding of sales and prospecting techniques and processes with a demonstrated history of success (new client acquisition, year over year growth, etc.)
  • Experience engaging with leadership level staff and other internal partners
  • Ability and willingness to travel 25%+ to visit key customers, prospects, and independent field sales representatives
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and exercises sound judgment in decisions
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with senior management, sales, plant, and corporate team members.
  • Exceptional judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and demonstrated skills in facilitating process and cultural changes.
  • Comfortable navigating through ambiguity and managing multiple priorities.
  • Able to think strategically to drive growth and create big picture plans.
  • Works well as a team player, who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical initiatives, and as an individual contributor.
