Job Scope

Responsible for Marketing of the Immunodiagnostic product portfolio reporting to the Immunodiagnostics Marketing Director EMEA, APAC, & LATAM. The main objectives of this role will be to prepare and lead the execution of the marketing plan for the assigned portfolio area.

Ensure compliance with the Code of Ethics, the Quality Management System, the Company Policies, and the Corporate Procedures

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Marketing Manager will play an important role defining the short and medium-term strategies in order to increase revenues across the assigned Diasorin immunodiagnostics product portfolio. The individual will need to work closely with local & corporate marketing teams to develop the right marketing programs, lead their execution and ensure strong results. . The position will require excellent product, market & country knowledge to be able to make an impact with the proposed marketing actions/plans.

This position combines marketing know-how and product expertise to define priorities for products in the key countries, helping the local teams to find opportunities for their assigned portfolio to assure clear plans executed in an effective way through Diasorin's commercial organization. This requires a hands-on approach and 40% time in the field, with a strong focus in Europe.

As such, this Marketing Manager is expected to:

* Understand the customer / country / regional needs and diagnostics market. Support the needs with facts and data. Consolidate and feedback this relevant market needs and analyses, for the assigned products and any newly developed assays.

* Contribute to product launch plan definition and execution.

* Become the point of reference for assigned geographies for product development, to ensure effective contribution to the product in development to fit with the market needs.

* Develop the appropriate programs with the local/country Immunodiagnostic Marketing Managers. Implement the right tools, tactics, and trainings to ensure the commercial organization is ready to drive growth across the assigned portfolio.

* With the Immunodiagnostics Marketing Director, develop, the right materials to be used by the local marketing and sales organizations, lead the implementation of the marketing programs, measure the impact, and ensure the right support and follow up with the different countries and regions.

* Build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders and externally develop the appropriate KOL network.

* Actively, support local promotion and participate in business meetings, tradeshows, lead regional scientific conferences or local events.

* Follow up with countries on commercial sales opportunities and monitor activities (Salesforce.com dashboard).

* Contribute or develop internal product training aimed to support the sales force / distributors with key arguments, solution positioning and battle cards on competition.

* Maintain a 360 view of the marketing activities to assure the right alignment with countries and regions in terms of branding.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Biological Science. (Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology)
  • Very good knowledge of Immunodiagnsotic assays, equipment and data management
  • Ability to plan, execute and monitor the return on investment of marketing programs and communication campaigns
  • 5 years' experience in a Marketing function with specific focus on infectious / metabolic diseases
  • Proven track record of achievements in their market, with evidence of successful metrics and capabilities
  • Effective Interpersonal skills and demonstrated lateral leadership capability. Ability to influence internal stakeholders. A positive attitude to develop and maintain effective relationships with all internal stakeholders
  • Excel in understanding the internal facts and data (i.e. product related) and the external facts and data (market related) from which programs for the commercial organization will be derived. Assure those facts and data are properly evaluated and understood by the organization at all levels.
  • Excel in understanding and interpreting customer needs and expectations.
  • Be flexible. Understand the counterpart view and always find a solution that is best for the company.
  • Be a problem solver. Avoid being caught in the diagnostics. Lead decision through a clear decision-making process, fact based always looking for the best of the Diasorin and its organization.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to work within a team environment and adhering to deadlines
  • Solid professional written and verbal communication.
  • English: full professional proficiency
  • Proficiency in another major European language preferred
  • Travel time within the region is expected to be around 40%.
