Job Scope

  • Understanding of the process, personnel, documentation, and supply requirements of building of plastic parts into a medical device cassette for use in new Product Development or on market Product. The process of building may be done manually with simple tools, fixtures and and/or automated equipment. Any process control points will be processed similarly to the build process.
  • Assisting in setting the daily schedule, priorities, and task delegation.
  • Participating in manufacturing processes to support new product design transfer, stability program, process development, equipment validations, process validations and investigations and resolution of product/process issues.
  • Performing assigned tasks that utilize their interdisciplinary skills to perform basic troubleshooting and resolution to microarray equipment.
  • Specific product knowledge of all product currently produced in microarray manufacturing.

Schedule: 2nd Shift - 1pm - 11:30pm

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to perform all duties associated with all microarray manufacturing line positions.
  • Deliver to attainment of production schedule for through initiation, execution and review of job orders in ERP (ORACLE) as necessary.
  • Deliver manufacturing requirements for qualification/processing of incoming materials, production intermediates, and stability samples.
  • Assist in implementing approved departmental procedures, policies, and processes.
  • Review of DHR (batch records) for manufacturing release.
  • Document non-conformances and participate in Material Review Board.
  • Participates in the integration of new products and processes into the Manufacturing organization; participates in validation and integration of new products and processes; participates in design transfer teams as required.
  • Update work instructions and standard operating procedures as required.
  • Participate in investigations and resolution of findings impacting the Manufacturing Organization identified through audits, non-conformances, corrective/preventive actions, or customer complaints escalation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and integrity of manufacturing areas.
  • Maintain personal compliance and facilitate departmental compliance with the Quality System.
  • Adhere to safety, disposal, and gowning requirements; facilitate departmental compliance.
  • Assist in task-specific engineering change training, Oversee the training of new Microarray Manufacturing Associates.
  • Provide technical guidance to manufacturing personnel.
  • Point person on shift to troubleshoot equipment on the floor.
  • Entering data through in ERP (ORACLE) as necessary.
  • Overseeing all activities on the production floor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Chemistry, biological sciences or related field required
  • 4+ Years in a Life Sciences, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or Biotechnology field. required
  • 1+ Years in a Life Sciences, Chemistry, or Medical Technology related industry in an FDA regulated and/or ISO certified operation. required
  • 1+ Years leadership experiences. preferred
