Join our team as a Senior Compensation Analyst!

This position is a Hybrid role based out of Maple Plain, MN

The Senior Compensation Analyst is primarily accountable for the development, analysis, design, implementation, and service delivery of Protolabs' rewards programs. This role is responsible for providing services and project support for annual & ongoing HR processes and initiatives within the Global Compensation & Benefits Center of Excellence. This role acts as a primary resource serving company management and the HR team for the United States region and Global Functions.

You will:

  • Recommend and implement rewards policies and programs that resonate with our company's compensation philosophy and business goals, ensuring decisions are made at the right levels within the organization.
  • Analyze and execute various compensation programs, including job evaluation, salary structures, bonus programs, and long-term incentives while continuously seeking ways to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Participate in compensation surveys, and conduct market research, analysis & benchmarking to ensure our compensation programs remain market competitive and compliant with regulations.
  • Utilize analytical skills to generate insights by sourcing & consolidating data to create reports, conduct data audits, and support strategic decision-making processes while ensuring internal equity.
  • Develop clear communication materials and training content to educate and consult with stakeholders about compensation programs, fostering understanding and transparency across the organization.
  • Support HR and business leadership in implementing workforce planning (e.g. budgeting) and organizational changes, employing effective change management methods and tools.

What it takes:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, IT, Finance or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant and progressive experience within the compensation and/or broader total rewards domain, utilizing independent judgement and discretion when fulfilling work activities.
  • Senior staff-level professional within field, where the incumbent operates under general guidance and work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on courses of action.
  • Working knowledge and capabilities with Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel.
  • Proficiency with relational database architecture.
  • Quantitative analytical skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Utilize multi-tasking skills to meet multiple deadlines and complete projects.
  • Completes work assignments with meticulous detail and accuracy, ensuring a high level of quality.
  • Communicates clearly in a variety of settings, including written, verbal, and situational.
  • Works within company policies & applies discipline to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

Bonus points:

  • Prior experience in HRIS, Compensation, Benefits, Finance, or related business function.
  • Experience with HR data and related HRIS applications (e.g. UKG/UltiPro).
  • Working knowledge of HR practices.

Physical Demands:

While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use a computer keyboard, monitor and mouse, telephone and printer; reach with hands, and arms, talk, see and hear. Work Environment:

Indoors (A/C); nonsmoking; the majority of this job function is performed in an office setting requiring normal safety precautions. However, there may be job duties that require the employee to spend time in the manufacturing areas exposed to machinery and noise; eye protection occasionally required. Occasionally works in outside weather conditions. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
