The ServiceNow Platform Engineer works with internal clients to assist them in achieving their business objectives through effective development of industry leading workflows. Manage ServiceNow solutions, writing specs for new application needs, configuring new applications, and supporting and testing existing applications for various issues and updates. You will work independently with minimal guidance to contribute to the design, configuration, build, and daily support of these solutions and actively engage with business partners to solve their business problems. A strong passion to continuously improve the user experience and enterprise efficiency is required, as this role will work to turn ideas into deliverables and valuable business solutions.

Develop, Manage and Support Applications

    Develop no code/low code solutions on the ServiceNow platform via scripting/coding and system configuration.
  • Provide superior customer service to /internal clients, including response to incidents, proactively notifying customers of issues, assessing, and communicating business impact, and identifying root cause.
  • Lead monitoring and testing of new releases and systems, as well as changes and fixes to existing systems, to ensure effective implementation.
  • Communicate and address complex application problems/issues and planned resolution to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users and

Facilitate improvements in line with changing business needs

  • Create and foster partnerships with internal stakeholders to develop a solid knowledge base of the business, including needs and opportunities specifically related to application/IT platform solutions.
  • Formulate and define scope and objectives for changes through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of business systems and industry standards, documents requirements.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with vendors and external industry contacts; work closely with vendors to ensure third party applications operate as documented.

Compliance and Risk

  • Prepare documentation of changes for SOX, internal and external auditors, and other regulatory agencies, as needed.
  • Maintains current knowledge of industry developments including changes in technology and regulations.
  • Review and monitor analytics, statistics, and relevant data/information.

Breadth of preferred experience on the ServiceNow platform:

  • Flow Designer / Legacy Workflows experience.
  • Integration Hub configurations.
  • Experience with ServiceNow reports, dashboards, and Performance Analytics.
  • Experience with designing ServiceNow Portals.
  • Advanced knowledge of catalog design and client scripting.
  • At least 3 years of experience implementing any module within ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow module uses.
  • Additional ServiceNow development certification/experience. (e.g. Advanced System Administration, Certified Application Developer, Application Creation, etc.).
  • Proven experience with application integrations using technologies such as API integration, SOAP or REST Web Services, JDBC/ODBC, and flat files.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
