Job Description

Main Responsibilities

* TIG welding during the manufacturing of Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) Ion Pumps
* Follow manufacturing travelers and blueprints to meet product specifications
* Calculate material measurements to verify specifications
* Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance
* Follow quality procedures and document as necessary
* Recommend manufacturability improvements to Engineering
* Maintain commitment to safety, ethics, professionalism, and teamwork.

Skills / Knowledge / Experience

*We are seeking a candidate with at least 0-2 years of TIG welding experience.
*Certification is not required but is preferred.
*Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields
*Prefer at least two years of TIG welding experience.
*TIG welding experience on Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) products a strong plus
*Familiarity with all forms of welding materials/metals
*Familiarity with welding tools and procedures
*Familiarity with engineering blueprints, schematics, and weld symbols
*Ability to handle physical workload
*Willing to learn and be mentored
*Self-starter capable of completing tasks with minimal supervision

Other duties as assigned
