We are looking for a Sr. Manager/Manager, Logistics to join our team in our Bristol, Pennsylvania, USA office. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing from order entry to shipping of medical devices globally.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and manage daily US Project Assurance activities.This includes the freight management (incoming/outgoing) of all equipment, supplies, materials, reports, data, and general communications that are couriered between Clario, Clario clients, and sites. Manage all international and domestic shipments from the US office.

  • Create, develop, incorporate, and integrate needed processes and technology that will increase departmental accuracy, efficiency, and production.

  • Report current procedures and systems that are not effective and direct initiatives to replace or restructure those procedures or systems.

  • Organize and structure departmental staff for optimum production.

  • Ensure the department is adequately staffed and trained in order to maintain continuous workflow.

  • Create and organize departmental organizational schemes and hierarchy.

  • Act as primary backup for Director, Logistics.

Develop and oversee the proper staffing for the department:

  • Track and report department and individual metric performance. Utilize metrics to motivate and reward team.

  • Promote continuous education and career paths for Logistics staff.

  • Conduct timely, quality evaluations for direct reports and ensure all other Logistics staff evaluations are completed in the same manner.

  • Conduct regular team meetings to analyze yearly goals and objectives.

  • Ensure proactive resolution to employee issues.

  • Perform various new employee orientation programs for Clario staff.

  • Report Logistics department conduct, efficiencies, and metrics to Director, US Logistics and/or Executive Vice President of Operations.

  • Work with Operations management and the QA department to ensure departmental adherence to Clario SOPs. Create new SOPs and update active SOPs to assure that they accurately reflect current operating procedures.

  • Back up Director, Logistics for invoice approval.

  • Maintain billing records to insure proper billing for all supplies and equipment rental charges.

  • Review all shipping records to derive proper freight billing or reimbursement.

  • Review all shipping record to derive proper "Shipment Handling" charges.

  • Assist in Clario company tours and demonstrations relating to the Logistics department operations.

  • Assist in inventory management including two physical inventories yearly and the accuracy of the data.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required or commensurate experience.

  • Bachelor degree in logistics or business management preferred.

Experience:

  • Four to five years' minimum people management experience with proven Leadership/Management skills.

  • Excellent organizational, oral and communication skills.

  • Strong understanding of ERP systems.

  • Strong knowledge of import/export documentation preparation.

  • Computer skills necessary such as knowledge of Excel, Word, and Access data bases.

  • Detail oriented with excellent documentation ability.

  • Ability to react quickly to an ever-changing environment and have excellent problem solving skills.

  • Ability to create systems and processes to accommodate department needs.

  • Advanced problem solving skills.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing and familiarity with order entry procedures required.
