This adjunct position will remain open for 1 year to allow departments' access to candidate pools when there is a need to hire an adjunct to teach/coach during defined academic semester(s).

Job Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure a high-quality experience for team members focused on skill development and proficiency, exemplary public presentation, and a supportive team environment.
  • Coordinate and supervise all aspects of team practices, activities, events, and equipment.
  • Recruit students for team participation, including advertising and conducting try-outs and developing and maintaining of relationships with high school programs and clubs.
  • Assist department in maintaining team guidelines and expectations; ensure that these are fully communicated with team members.
  • Identify and implement suitable fundraisers for the team and collaborate with the department in the development of the team budget and ongoing management of finances.
  • Promote academic success and social/emotional well-being as key components of team success and work in consultation with the department to support the personal growth and development of team members.
  • Implement university-approved team manual that includes University expectations for the team.
  • Implement plans for individual and team skill development to ensure satisfactory team progress.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Prior leadership experience in a similar setting
  • Excellent time management skills and organizational/planning abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Evidence of the ability to work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds
  • Evidence of a valid driver's license, or ability to acquire a legal driver's license or qualify for a reasonable accommodation
