Ecolab is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Analytics Lead User to support our North American Planning Analytics and Master Data team in data infrastructure development and master data readiness & best practices as part of the rollout of a new Advanced Planning System (Kinaxis RapidResponse). Primarily, this individual will be responsible for being the lead user and SME (Subject Matter Expert) of the new APS Solution for analytics and master data. This role would include the definition, configuration, and ingestion strategy of new datasets and insights included in the conversion to the new APS and the creation of best practices and SOPs for master data maintenance and configuration. The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of supply chain and planning strategy coupled with a familiarity of data and analytics systems like Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, and PowerBI. Ideally, the candidate will have experience with Kinaxis RapidResponse or a similar advanced planning system.

What You Will Do:

Act as the lead user for NA Planning Analytics & Master Data within the global APS conversion to develop new datasets and critical reporting related to the new system:

  • Define new datasets
  • Map existing data needs to new system
  • Develop new connections to data using the APS functionality as well as Azure, PowerBI and other systems as needed
  • Become the SME (Subject Matter Expert) on the data inputs and outputs of Kinaxis including how to extract insights for Demand Planning, Supply Planning and Material Planning
  • Develop a deep understanding of the new APS data and reporting capabilities and how to best harness and deploy the insights to the user base

Communicate with internal customers on their analytics reporting needs, specifically regarding the areas below, and take action to as appropriate to address:

  • New Power BI Reports, Dashboards, or similar items in Excel
  • Modification of existing Power BI Data Models and reports to convert from previous planning systems to the new APS
  • Development of new metrics or refined data sets to support business needs
  • Collaborate with functional lead users to develop analytical tools to aid in new processes and best practices (including but not limited to S&OP, Control Tower, Demand review, Sourcing Design, Cost vs. Service)
  • Be able to convert business requirements to the appropriate data strategies and be fluent in both operational strategy and data strategies

Develop new best practices and methodology to maintain core APS master data settings:

  • Become the SME on master data inputs to Kinaxis Rapid Response including how to source, maintain and setup
  • Create process documentation to support ongoing master data maintenance at the appropriate cadences
  • Understand the operational strategies of Ecolab North America supply chain and the best way to configure the system to optimize service and inventory levels
  • Train and prepare the greater user base to effectively leverage best practices to match desired strategies
  • Develop reporting or metrics to monitor governance and adherence of master data configurations and settings

Collaborate with other supply chain functions to improve data inputs to core planning decision points:

  • Identify required data to increase effectiveness of the APS & user base decision making; collaborate with other functions to source, cleanse and reference data into APS
  • Create SOPs that capture data sourcing, cleansing and ingestion into the APS, as well as how to monitor the health of master data inputs

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Data Science
  • 10 years of experience required, including 5 years of Supply Chain experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Kinaxis RapidResponse
  • CPIM or master's degree in supply chain management or similar field or certification
  • Experience with Python and R programming languages
  • Knowledge of / Experience with basic Machine Learning models
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Azure
  • Prior consulting or systems and data integration experience
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain planning principles
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Azure
  • Experience creating Power BI data models, reports, and dashboards
  • Familiarity with SAP
  • Passion for driving digital transformation of the supply chain
