Job Description

Process Excellence Analyst Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm Position Overview: The Process Excellence team will work closely with Digi-Key leadership, customers, suppliers, and other interested parties to identify, develop, and implement continuous improvements. Identify the root cause of defects and ensure the execution of corrective action as required to meet operational excellence standards throughout the supply chain. Perform internal operational audits and provides analysis, appraisals, recommendations, counsel and information concerning operational activities. Assist the business to ensure that it is functioning effectively and efficiently while accomplishing their established objectives and goals; focused on a smaller sub-set of business areas. Conducting planned and random audits of Digi-Key operational processes. Responsibilities: Must be able to... Perform Quality/Process monitoring through collecting, measuring, analyzing and reporting data according to company quality standards Identify potential quality opportunities through auditing of operational procedures, key performance metrics and transactions so that operational processes are being executed in accordance with defined processes, policies and procedures, regulations and service level standards Use critical thinking skills and root cause analysis to resolve and respond to Customer Corrective Action Requests Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation Document procedures as related to quality objectives and processes Complete audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings Appraise adequacy of internal control systems by completing audit evaluations Maintain internal control systems by updating audit programs and questionnaires; recommending new policies and procedures Communicate audit findings by preparing a final report; discussing findings with auditees Prepare special audit and control reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operating information and trends Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Collaborate with Product Management and Purchasing to request Supplier Corrective Action and monitor until satisfactory resolution Identify quality standards and establish clearly defined quality methods for employees to apply Other Typical Tasks May also Include: Taking on additional responsibilities from Lead(s) or Operational Excellence management Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Minimum/Essential Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent One to two years of experience working at Digi-Key with experience in key areas such as Operational Excellence, Sales, Customer Service, PDC, Purchasing, etc. Strong understanding of the various functions of Digi-Key, how they work together as well as the industry Digi-Key operates in Knowledge of Digi-Key brand and its principles Familiarity with requirements for corrective action Knowledge of Micro-strategy, Batch Subsystem, or other Business Reporting tools Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body Must be able to perform the following behavioral competencies; attention to detail, analytical capacity, communication proficiency, customer/client focus, ethical conduct, initiative, manages execution, personal effectiveness/credibility, positive attitude, problem solving, project management, professionalism, project management, thoroughness and time management Preferred Qualifications: Two Year Degree in Business Administration, Engineering Technology or similar area of study or equivalent, relevant work experience Digi-Key Electronics is an Equal Opportunity Employer .
