Station 12 is our most acute unit in the hospital and generally is managing aggressive, assaultive patients or those who are highly disorganized and/or psychotic. Certainly one of our most challenging units to work on, but if you have the temperament, this is easily the most rewarding unit in terms of gaining new knowledge and relevant experience . Staffing ratios on this unit are better due to the acuity and there is always plenty of support in managing this population.
