We are currently seeking a talented ESD Project Lead who possesses skills with installation creation software such as InstallShield for PC and Apple Package Maker for Mac OS. The ESD Project Lead position will create or modify installation scripts and DRM wrap software as required by our distribution partners. As part of the Encore Product Development Team, you will manage several processes, including the installation, front end UI creation, wrapping, and testing of productivity and game software to be distributed through our internal ecommerce websites as well as a variety of digital and retail distribution partners. The ESD Project Lead must have Install programming experience including PC, MAC hybrid disks & bundles as well as a familiarity with scripting languages related to software installation tasks.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Script writing. Writing scripts for installation and wrapping of software for retail and digital distribution.

  • Quality assurance. Perform QA on both internally and externally developed software on Windows, MacOS, Android, iOS and other emerging platforms.

  • Product review. Review products for publishing and distribution consideration. Assure products meet requirements for our internal ecommerce and external digital distribution partners.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

All qualifications are required unless otherwise noted:

  • High school diploma or equivalent in education and/or experience. Two-year or four-year degree preferred.

  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with InstallShield or other installation software for Windows and Mac operating systems.

  • Strong understanding of Windows Installer, XML, C, C++, C#, Java and HTML as it relates to creating software installation packages and front end user interfaces.

  • Basic understanding of Visual Studio.

  • Experience with disc mastering and .ISO images.

  • Working familiarity with digital rights management (DRM) and the software wrapping process.

  • Familiarity with image editing and creation software such as Adobe Photoshop or G.I.M.P.

  • Strong interest in Software and PC games.
