CDL Utility Driver (Feed Delivery Driver) Job Opportunity Information

  • Job Opportunity is temporary and full time.
  • Openings for this position: 10
  • Job Description: Learn all driving positions including Market, Live and Feed Haul and Animal Disposal. Safely drives haul truck with capacity of more than 30 tons, transporting animals to and from specified farm, plant or disposal destinations. Inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure. Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations. 75% travel required.
    • Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent + one (1) year of CDL experience.
    • Certification: CDL certification required.
    • Reports to: Transportation Supervisor
    • Work hours and day: 4 Days On; 3 Days Off
    • 1st Shift: 6:00am-6:00pm
      • Anticipated Start Date and End Date of Employment: 04/01/2023 - 08/31/2023

Wage Information

  • Wage Offered: $21.86
  • Overtime will be available at time and a half of the wage offered.
  • A single workweek will be used to compute wages due.
  • Workers will be paid bi-weekly.
  • All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.
  • Employee will be auto-enrolled into the company 401K plan on the first of the month following 90-days of employment. Otherwise, no other deductions not required by law would be taken without the voluntary authorization of the employee.

Employer Provided Items

  • The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
  • On-the-job training will be provided.

Three-Fourths Guarantee

  • The three-fourths guarantee offers the H-2B worker employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period (or 6-week period for job orders lasting less than 120 days). This obligation begins with the first workday after the arrival of the H-2B worker at the place of employment or the advertised first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the end date indicated in the job order. A workday means the number of hours in a workday as stated in the job order.
    • The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.

First Workweek Guarantee

  • H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).

Transportation

  • H-2B workers will be provided with daily subsistence rates at a cost of $14 per day during travel to maximum of $59 per day with receipts.

Relocation and Transition Benefits

  • An initial lump sum allowance of $300.00 will be provided in the form of an actual Purchase Credit Card, which is to be used for the following: gas towards new location (no receipts are required) and miscellaneous expenses associated with the move. The total amount H-2B workers are eligible to receive is capped at $2,500.00. These dollars will be used to make direct payments for lodging while on assignment. At the end of the H-2B workers temporary relocation, if there are any remaining funds left from the initial $2,500.00, the money not spent will be the H-2B workers to use towards relocation. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer.
