Primary Objective of Position: The Advanced Technology Group has a dedicated focus on customer-centric learning and the application of advanced technologies for commercialization throughout the various business units of Winnebago Industries. The Advanced Technology Group IoT (Internet of Things) System Architect is responsible for the technical documentation, system architecture and engineering of the projects focused on IOT.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Create and maintain functional and technical specs for on-vehicle and off-vehicle IOT projects
• Develop IOT system and sub-system architecture
• Map the current hardware/sensors on the current vehicles
• Develop the future road-map for analytics capabilities
• Develop a data/sensor gap analysis based on analytics road-map
• Develop designs, as required
• Define interactions between different sub-systems
• Work with validation team to develop and implement QA and validation activities.
• Work with business units for technology transfer for commercialization
• Develop relationships with advanced technology businesses and industry influencers.
• Assist in assessment and acquisitions of relevant intellectual properties.
• Perform other duties as required
• Travel when required to visit vendors, conferences, trade shows, and other partners.

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical or electrical Engineering degree and 3-5 years of experience in following areas:
• COTS HW development and integration, memory management, , distributed real time system
• Understanding of different sensors (on-vehicles, off-vehicles) required for health monitoring of different systems
• Must be able to create and review functional, technical specifications and vehicle system architectures.
• Understanding of embedded systems
• Must be comfortable working on multiple projects with varying levels of complexity at the same time.
• Ability to perform vehicle design work
• Knowledge of vehicle design, including electric vehicle and electric system
