Job Description

An Information Security Officer is responsible for prioritizing security risks across the lines of businesses, technology, and representing the Chief Information Security Officer in local security matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a point of escalation for security governance, data quality, and protection issues and other security topics and will work closely with business and technology leadership to improve the quality and value of security.
  • Establishes and maintains an enterprise program which includes driving information security requirements into the business, as well as bringing business line needs into the security organization.
  • Will lead a team of Information Security Officers for all services and business lines is responsible for prioritizing security risks across the lines of businesses, technology, and representing the CISO in local security matters.
  • Deliver on key metrics set for the information security program.
  • Serve as a liaison between business and technology organizations to ensure that information security related business requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and well understood and considered as part of the operational prioritization and planning.
  • Works with senior technology and business management to support understanding of information security risk and satisfaction of due care standards in compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations and with Bank information security policy.
  • Monitors changes in business, technology, and threat environments and develops strategies for addressing new risks to Bank systems and information.
  • Understands the controls to protect the Bank's infrastructure from intrusion and from damage caused by malware and other threats.
  • Coordinates reporting and communication with business line risk teams, technology groups, and executive management.
  • Establishes metrics and performance targets in support of the information security strategy.
  • Designs and implements continuous improvement processes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of banking experience, or like industry
  • BA/MBA in business, finance, accounting, or another related field

Preferred Experience

  • Well-developed leadership abilities and strategic management skills
  • Experience in Information Security
  • Ability to manage several priorities simultaneously
  • Knowledge of business to business sales and relation to industry
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-developed analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Considerable tact, diplomacy, and people skills.
