The mission of the Financial and Retail Services (FRS) Engineering team is to ensure fast, reliable, and secure financial transactions and support - RedCard enrollments, GiftCard purchases, and guest support. We enable nearly 2 billion in GiftCard transactions each year, along with 20 billion in RedCard transactions a year.
As an Engineer on FRS RedCard Account Services and Collections team, you will provide tools and technology for products that are responsible for providing various RedCard related services to guests like generating statements, keeping RedCard guest data intact, outbound communication to guests, guest counseling services and debt collection on past due legal and charged off accounts.
Our engineering teams are empowered to select the appropriate technology for the problem they are trying to solve. Common technologies include:

About you:
* 4 year degree or equivalent experience.
* 2+ years of experience in web technologies.
* Experience with Object-oriented languages, frameworks like Kotlin, Java, Micronaut, Springboot
* Computer Science foundational knowledge including competencies working with design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
* Experience automated testing and proficient with a testing framework (e.g. Junit, Mockito)
* Experience working with a source versioning tool, such as Git
* Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and can help the team in triaging operational issues
* Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education
