The Role Apply advanced Engineering and Telecommunications network principles, theories, concepts and technologies to solve unusually complex problems and issues. Able to be lead for cross- functional teaming to improve processes, work flows and streamlining of functions to drive efficiency within the business. Analyze complex local and wide area network systems and/or customer network environment; inclusive of, planning, designing, evaluating, selecting protocol suites and configuration of network devices. Evaluate, define and determine methods and procedures, standards, requirements and recommendations of standard configurations for network elements. The Main Responsibilities * Working and troubleshooting network-related problems during change management windows while working with field operations techs at remote sites. * Perform network assessment and troubleshooting remotely and utilize online communication tools effectively. Coordinate with multiple internal groups for execution of projects. * Ensure resource availability and allocation to meet project deadlines. * Document and facilitate project progress using appropriate systems and tools. Report and escalate to management as needed to ensure that project obstacles and delays are minimized. * Must be willing and able to work a non-traditional schedule. Project scope will drive the weekly schedule, which could include evening or overnight maintenance work. What We Look For in a Candidate * Must be proficient and able to demonstrate the ability to deploy solutions in more than one area of technology. * Must have a clear understanding of protocol turn-up (ISIS, BGP, OSPF, MPLS/RSVP), services configurations (L3VPN/VPLS) on multiple platforms (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Accedian, Exfo, Force10, Overture etc.), hardware and software upgrades on the devices and actively troubleshoot ISIS, BGP, OSPF, MPLSTE, RSVP, issues on Juniper, Cisco and Nokia and other Routing and Switching platforms. * Professional Certifications are a bonus but not required (CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS or equivalent). * Must have working knowledge of: 1. Key technologies and protocols such as: RSVP, MPLS, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, VRRP, HSRP, STP etc. 2. Experience in routing and switching operations across various vendors and their software platforms (Cisco IOS, Cisco IOS-XR, JUNOS, Nokia TiMOS) 3. On-hands experience with the entire Juniper MX, M and PTX series, Cisco and Nokia IP Platforms 4. HTML, Windows Based Operating Systems, and Linux/UNIX and server administration. 5. Working knowledge of various scripting languages such as Python, Pearl, ETC. Salary Range Salary Min : 57600 Salary Max : 128400 This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
