Overview
As a CPE faculty member, the ACPE Certified Educator facilitates the formation, competency, and reflection of CPE interns, residents, and certified educator candidates. The individual will support the Center's core tenets of cultural humility, diversity, interfaith chaplaincy, research, and reflective practice. Working collaboratively with staff chaplains, the individual will educate students in holistic spiritual care.
Responsibilities/Job Description
* Recruit, interview and select candidates for CPE internships, residencies and supervisory education in accordance with the admission requirements
* Direct clinical supervision of students as negotiated within the CPE faculty, including curriculum development, coordination of student spiritual support with staff chaplains, managing the student's self-directed learning in a group of 3-7 student peers and administration of program unit details
* Mentor and/or educate students in the certified educator candidate program
* Provide narrative evaluation of the education process of students
* Lead responsibility for key components of CPE Supervisory Team, helping to vision, plan, develop and promote CPE throughout M Health Fairview and Ebenezer and in the broader community, including seminaries and judicatories
Qualifications
Certification as Certified Educator or Associate Educator by the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education
