Job Description
Our client, a manufacturer of paper packaging solutions is seeking to hire experienced Clamp Truck Drivers for their Cottage Grove, MN location. They just opened up a brand new 180,000 square foot facility and are growing rapidly. We are seeking employees that can begin work immediately. If you have experience driving a Clamp Truck, please apply now. Candidates who are hired are expected to complete a 4-week paid training program. Pay for this initial role is $16/hour for 2nd shift with the ability to increase your hourly rate by $3/hour by completing the cross-training programs inside the plant. You will be guaranteed 40 hours every week and training is 100% paid for. Shift hours for this role are 4:00pm-Midnight (M-F) with some expected overtime. There will be an opportunity to move to first shift in the future.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Unload, tag, receive and store roll stock in warehouse.
  • Perform safety inspection on containers to be unloaded, ensure container is locked in place, brakes are set, and dock plates are properly deployed.
  • Perform OSHA required pre-shift checklist and report any issues to Maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean machine and Work Area.
  • If rolls are damaged, assist Operators in peeling rolls.
  • Clean and reorganize warehouse as needed to ensure a clean and safe work area and the proper rotation of stock
  • If a roll is damaged Clamp Operator should assist in peel down of damaged roll.
  • Work with Scheduler/Roll Room Manager to ensure the paper required for upcoming schedule is in the warehouse.
  • Ensure that outside of receiving docks are clean and clear of debris, ice or snow (contact maintenance for assistance).
  • Complete all required receiving and inspection paperwork.

Qualifications
  • 1+ years of Fork Clamp Truck or Forklift Driving experience.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Enjoys working within a team setting.
  • Must have your own vehicle and a valid driver license to get to and from work.
