Wenck is seeking a Civil Engineer with 0-5 years of experience for our Maple Plain, MN office. This position will be directly supervised by a Licensed Engineer and will be responsible for performing and documenting construction inspections, interpreting construction plans and specifications as well as assisting with preparation of construction plans in AutoCAD.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 0-4 years of experience
  • Minnesota Professional Engineer (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain in six months
  • Excellent computer and technical skills, including Autodesk Civil 3D
  • Ability to work in outdoor adverse weather and terrain conditions as needed
  • Ability to travel, including overnight, as business needs and projects dictate
  • Ability to work extended hours, including weekends, to accommodate deadlines and schedules
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, energetic individual with a strong team mentality and desire to learn
  • Deadline driven with the desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. and do repetitive work such as lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
Responsibilities:
  • Perform construction observations
  • Document construction activities, progress, correspondence
  • Perform field measurements
  • Interpret construction plans and specifications
  • Clearly and effectively communicate with project team and stakeholders
  • Assist with developing plan sets and specifications for civil design projects
  • Assist with preparing site grading and street and utility plans
  • Prepare plans sets and record drawings in Autodesk Civil 3D, MS Word, and Excel
  • Perform stormwater modeling for civil design projects
  • Assist with field related survey tasks to obtain boundary, topography, GIS data collection, geodetic control, etc.
  • Provide construction staking information from plans to survey team.
  • Assist in preparing and updating as-built drawings for projects.
  • Assist with conducting field surveys for property boundaries, topography, GIS data collection, geodetic control, etc.
  • Assist with providing construction staking for site layout, structures, grading, paving, roadways, drainage features, etc.
  • Prepare survey exhibits and record drawings in Autodesk Civil 3D
Salary: Commensurate with education, training, and experience.
