Contract/Freelance Project Description

-Immediate Opening due to expansion
GMI, Inc. is a leader in sales and service of new and recertified scientific laboratory instrumentation from most major manufacturers. Our sales representatives call on a variety of clinical diagnostics, molecular biology, and chemical analysis labs in start- up companies, academia, clinics and hospitals, and biotech/ pharmaceutical labs found in market segments.
The dynamic individual we ask to join us in obtaining our sales goal will be responsible for selling the full line of GMI Instrumentation and products primarily in his/her respective territory. GMI currently employs both inside and outside sales representatives and is currently seeking Independent Contractor Sales representatives to sell in the Eastern and Western USA. Required skills include identifying and qualifying customers, matching GMI instrumentation solutions to customers’ technical requirements and applications, quoting and closing sales.

Minimum requirements:
• 4 year BA or BS degree
• Clear comprehension of function and use of common laboratory equipment (ex: chromatography, centrifuges, molecular biology instrumentation, etc.)
• Communication skill excellence
• Customer focus
Critical to our success:
• Demonstrated strong closer skills
• Research instrumentation and /or clinical laboratory instrument sales experience
• One year lab/research experience is a plus
