Description: 1. Candidate will be responsible for case management of special education students. 2. Complete required Due process procedures with mandated time frames. 3. Knowledge in appropriate assessment procedures and tools. 4. Able to analyze assessment data and make appropriate recommendations. 5. Develop Individual Educational Plans based on assessment data and student need. 6. Develop and provide programming based on IEP. 7. Has experience with providing developmental skill instruction in the areas of reading, language arts, math and social skills curriculum. 8. Demonstrated knowledge using a variety of behavior-management strategies. 9. Previous successful experience teaming with special and regular education staff. 10. Evidence of positive communication skills with parents, staff and outside resources. 11. Evidence of successful working experience with this age level of students. 12. Experience conducting a functional behavior assessment and developing a positive behavioral plan. 13. Strong curriculum background with experience teaching core content curriculum and with teaching strategies.
