Rates Analyst

Great River Energy is recruiting for a Rates Analyst in our Budget, Rates and Billing department. This position will develop ad hoc queries and system designs that monitor the cost-of-service study to ensure it is in compliance with the purchased power and transmission contracts. The position will also determine the wholesale power and transmission billing rates, as well as prepare and analyze complex reports to provide rate and financial analysis to support business and special project needs. The qualified candidate MUST have strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel and Access as well as other programs in the suite.

To qualify you must have a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or a related field with 6+ years of related experience. An MBA or CPA is preferred. The position requires strong analytical and technical skills, ability to build and maintain effective working relationships, good organizational, interpretive, interpersonal, and written and verbal skills.
