Responsibilities:


The Mammo Technologist works with the provider or radiologist to perform specialized imaging procedures. They will instruct patients regarding imaging procedures. Develops, processes and prepares images for reading, interpretation, retention by provider or radiologist. They are also responsible for examining images for quality related to density, contrast, definition, magnification and distortion. Performs other work as required and related clerical duties as well as perform EKG's and assists with sterilization of clinic instruments.


Qualifications:


Education; Minimum of a two year Radiologist Technologist degree required with current RT license. BLS certification. Medical terminology.

Experience:
Mammography experience preferred. Operates specialized radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic images and special imaging as directed by providers or radiologist. Has knowledge of both digital and analog radiology equipment.

Skills:
Enjoys patient instruction and teaching. Practices proper body mechanics. Computer literate with good organizational skills and a pleasant attitude. Excellent communication skills - must read, write and speak English. Bilingual - Spanish speaking a bonus. Must be vested in customer service and quality care. Must be a team player.


Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule


Part time position (12 hours per week)
Thursdays, Fridays and rotating Saturday.
