Responsibilities:

  • Teaching transfer-level biology courses including lectures and labs. Assigned courses may include; Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology I and Anatomy & Physiology II, and General Biology.
  • Evaluate and advise students on academic progress.
  • Participation in discipline, division, campus and college matters through service on committees and continued professional development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of Academic Affairs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree with a major in biology or a Master's degree with 24 graduate quarter or 16 graduate semester credits in biology which would apply to the major.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching biology courses at the post-secondary level.
  • Experience using technology and active learning techniques in the classroom.
