Position Description
TownePlace Suites in Eagan is in search of an Engineering Assoicate to join our team.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing assistance in engineering operations; including maintenance and repair of hotel property, outside grounds and hotel equipment. Follows high standards of quality to ensure guest satisfaction.
KEY CONTRIBUTIONS
1. Sales: Responsible for adhering to the preventive maintenance program for guest rooms, banquet rooms, and public areas, to ensure sufficient room inventory and meeting space is available according to sales projections to maximize revenue.
2. Guest Service: Provides guest satisfaction by assisting in maintenance service and loss-prevention standards. Ensures guests’ needs are responded to in a courteous, professional and timely manner. Works as a team player in meeting guests needs, and actively contributes to the efforts of other departments when necessary. Understands and follows CSM guest service recovery program.
3. Cost Control: Responsible for proper use and safeguarding of all maintenance equipment and supplies, and adheres to cost controls to reduce expenses and waste.
4. Safety/Risk Management: Conducts routine inspections of hotel property and grounds to maintain standards per CSM, brand, local, state and federal regulations. Operates all equipment following safe and proper procedures. Maintains a clean and safe work area in compliance with CSM, brand, local, state and federal regulations. Follows all CSM procedures for guest/associate incidents. Knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures.
5. Self Management: Produces required volume of work by planning, organizing and prioritizing work duties. Adheres to CSM attendance policy, grooming/appearance standards, general work rules and department procedures. Attends all required department and hotel meetings.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School diploma or GED required. CPO, and appliance repair certification is desired, or the ability to obtain certification based on property needs.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 2+ years of maintenance experience is preferred. Attention to detail, customer focused and the ability to perform job duties in a fast paced environment.
Physical: Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis throughout shift.
