| Minimum Qualifications: - Valid teaching license for Elementary Education issued by the Minnesota Department of Education. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - District training in Everyday Math and Readers Workshop. - Experience with technology for management and instruction. - Skills in balanced literacy and integrated mathematics strategies to help low-performing students. - Ability to communicate with students of diverse cultural and economic backgrounds. - Ability and desire to work effectively in a team environment. - Ability to collaborate as a member of a team. - Ability to maintain accurate records and ability to organize information and tasks. | |
| Responsibilities | |
| The essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following fundamental duties: - Use assessment data to identify student needs, direct instruction, and monitor student progress. - Provide students with supplemental assistance in reading and/or math to help them reach proficiency as defined by the state. - Work cooperatively with classroom teachers, parents and administrators. - Provide assistance in the regular classroom setting and/or in a separate room. - Complete all reporting requirements. - Monitor student progress and communicate this progress periodically to parents. - Participate in professional development as necessary. - Use technology to facilitate job responsibilities. - Contribute to the District's inclusive workplace efforts by fostering a safe, welcoming and respectful environment - Perform other duties as assigned. | |

| This is a temporary assignment for the remainder of the 2009-2010 school year, working up to 15 hours per week. The pay rate for instructional assignments is $25.35 per hour. Benefits are not provided to hourly teachers. | |

| Transcript - Unofficial transcripts are accepted at the time of hire. You must submit official transcripts within 30 days of your start date. Formal credential evaluation is required for post-secondary education completed outside of the United States.
