Allina Commons is the Minneapolis-based headquarters of Allina Hospitals & Clinics, a not-for-profit health care organization serving patients and communities. Approximately 1,600 corporate and administrative service employees work at offices within Midtown Exchange, site of the historic Sears retail complex at Chicago Avenue and E. Lake Street. This community landmark, adjacent to the campus of Allina's Abbott Northwestern Hospital, is the second largest building in Minnesota and includes offices, an internationally themed public market and residential units.


Responsibilities:


Support and implement Epic Radiant in the hospital and ambulatory settings.
1. Analysis, Design and Documentation - Identify, define and document business processes in need of improvement/implementation. Identify and document overall assumptions and issues. Evaluate what should be automated vs. what should be improved by manual work flow procedures. Perform feasibility study/cost benefit analysis. Develop and communicate business requirements. Develop data models and document data flow. Develop and present conceptual and functional models and prototypes to users for analysis and evaluation. Communicate and negotiate with internal IS providers of hardware, software, and network requirements. Monitor IS activity for compliance with negotiated service contract. Understand the current systems infrastructure and become a ?Subject matter expert? on business functions within the company.
2. Project Management - Establish goals and objectives for process performance. Establish goals and objectives for system performance (i.e. response time). Establish overall project plans. Assist users in prioritization process. Implement post-project QA review. Support ongoing Business/System operations in a production environment.
3. Customer Management & Support - Support the implementation of new and/or changed processes/functionalities/systems: Define and Develop Reports. Test changed procedures. User support (remote or onsite). Implementation information resource. Training ? ?Train the trainer?. Resource for final user documentation/procedures. Provide on-call support.
4. Incident Management - Utilizes incident management process appropriately. Escalates as appropriate.
5. Release Management - Utilizes the change request process appropriately. Utilizes the release management process in an appropriate way .


Qualifications:



Education/Experience:

BA/BS preferred. Minimum of 3 years experience with business applications. Prefer 3 years experience in one or more aspects of information systems development. May have particular, in-depth expertise in clinical workflows in an Information Services or Radiology Department setting.

Skills:
Prefer Epic certification in Radiant. Ability to accurately and effectively translate business requirements to high-level systems specifications. Ability to evaluate business user needs against current systems capabilities. Creative and logical problem solving. Specialized knowledge of one area. Report writing and analysis. Interviewing, fact-gathering. Meeting facilitation. Business needs analysis. Strong communication skills ?written/verbal.
Customer Service Skills - Ability to troubleshoot basic situations and relationships. Basic project planning & management. Ability to troubleshoot complex situations and relationships. Able to work independently. Able to work as a team member. Ability to cope with changing environment.
