The Learning & Development Consultant will work with the sales leadership of the Transportation business to deliver learning and development solutions through the design and implementation of classroom and non-classroom methods of learning. Additionally, this role will work in conjunction with the Learning & Development team to identify and align key initiatives with the overall L&D strategy and the needs of the business.

Develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships across a decentralized network of over 200 offices by working to understand the business and its challenges and utilize your expertise to reach consensus amongst diverse opinions on complex strategic issues
Serve as an internal consultant to the sales teams in developing our sales processes by applying appropriate organizational development models to achieve desired outcomes of performance improvement and organizational change
Design and/or deliver solutions that engage participants and positively impact job performance in a decentralized environment
Build a strong understanding of best practices in sales both inside the organization as well as externally for benchmarking purposes
Continually assess existing training offerings; determine whats working and what needs updating to include modifying delivery modality for maximum effectiveness (classroom, self-directed, web, eLearning, job aids, etc.)
Identify and implement effective evaluation strategies, up to and including ROI, along with operational metrics such as utilization and costs
Maintain learning solutions to include content revisions, enhancements to delivery methods, changes in processes, new information and/or feedback
Support sales related business initiatives as needed from a L&D perspective to ensure strategic alignment and effective use of learning strategies
