We provide credit products for crop and livestock production that are used by farmers buying products from our Country Business Partners (local cooperatives and CHS business units).
The position of Country Business Partner Manager is responsible for managing, developing and supporting new quality loan business by providing competitive financing products to the farmer members of our Country Business Partners and larger individual producers. This support includes overseeing loan servicing through Country Business Partners to assure loan performance and quality. The primary contacts include Cofina management, Country Business Partners, CHS business units and direct contact with agriculture producers. This position also represents and promotes Cofina at industry functions.
Develop marketing plans to promote growth with current business partners and market the Cofina program to new prospects. This position is responsible for growth in loan volume and the number of business partners. You will also develop the competencies of the partners by providing training on credit and loan servicing skills as well as marketing skills.
Counsel and supervise the business partners on submission of loan requests that include adequate information for proper underwriting and make recommendations concerning producer loan terms and conditions appropriate for risk. Supervise CBPs through the process of disbursements, collateral inspections and loan repayments. Monitor loan portfolio to ensure compliance to loan terms and conditions. Supervise CBPs on past due loans and collections. Travel and extended working hours are required. Meet with cooperatives and producers on the farm.
Experience:
• Four year degree in finance, accounting business administration or marketing desired. 10+ years of finance or related experience (agriculture sector desired) with demonstrated ability in loan servicing and new business development. Experience in lending, finance or accounting preferred.
• Background in agriculture production, financial analysis and risk management. Advanced understanding of technology as it applies to the current business environment. Strong quantitative and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong customer relationship management skills. Superior negotiation skills along with demonstrated ability to assertively influence others.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Advanced computer skills and extensive knowledge of Word & Excel required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
