Position Summary

Enters patient incurred clinic charges for medical services in a timely and accurate manner. Identifies and obtains missing billing and coding information from appropriate sources. Identifies moderately complicated charges/procedures and completes entry. High school diploma or equivalent, with coursework in medical terminology required. Computer/data entry skills, including 10-key skills also required. Previous experience in a medical background including familiarity with medical coding preferred. This position requires an individual who is detail oriented and has previous experience working with medical terminology as well as familiarity with basic principles of medical coding. Proficiency in operating an alphanumeric keyboard, including 10-key skills is required. Strong communication skills, both oral and written are required. Self motivation and organizational skills required.
