Required Skills: Abilities required 1. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers. 2. Ability to learn and utilize many aspects of ERP system (4th Shift) 3. Ability to work with a wide range of individuals (customers, suppliers, management, production workers, etc.). Must understand the concept of "know your audience" and tailor your approach accordingly.
Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 2. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Gerber, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design Of Experiments (DOE), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Surface Mount Equipment Manufacturers Association Standards (SMEMA), and automated assembly equipment programming experience is preferred. 3. Knowledge of stencils and dies. 4. Training and experience with IPC-610 standards or equivalent.
Job Description: Support Production, Quality Assurance, and Engineering departments. Review defect data reports. Process improvement and incorporation of new assemblies. Ordering tooling consisting of stencils and dies. Troubleshooting machine issues and process flow. Update plots and routers. Assist Program Managers, Buyers, and Board House relating to PCB paneling and any related issues. Summary of essential job functions 1. Help with the integration of new product via NPI (New Product Introduction) or ECN (Engineering Change Notice), 2. Assist floor personnel with technical issues encountered during production, 3. Drive quality and labor improvements and assist the business team with customer/build related issues that may require their technical expertise. 4. Monitor new process upon initiation via NPI, process improvement or ECN. 5. Assist with DFM and production launch process. a. Review to identify tooling requirements, b. Suggest build process. c. Suggest alternative components and design improvements. 6. Review line configuration, process flow, and recommend layout/equipment changes to improve throughput and or quality 7. Review throughput (run time to quote) and quality data for areas of improvement 8. Generate ROIs (Return On Investment reports) to cost justify new equipment 9. Document new equipment requirements (calibration, use, validate new tooling, operation procedures, etc.) 10. Evaluate and document use of new process materials 11. Assist in resolving NCM/MRB issues (correct media, part marking, etc.) 12. Responsible for developing and maintaining effective manufacturing processes. a. Develop and implement process controls that include statistical techniques. b. Lead continuous improvement efforts for manufacturing efficiencies and reduced labor costs. c. Work closely with customers and manufacturing to ensure technical information is communicated clearly and promptly 13. Work with Quality Engineers / Technicians to improve quality 14. Assist production with technical / process issues 15. Provide technical support, maintenance, and optimization of production processes. 16. Provide support in areas of process development, programming, troubleshooting and repair of equipment, stencil design, fixture design and assembly, and general tooling used in the production processes. 17. Create and maintain technical process manuals and documents used by Engineering or Manufacturing personnel. Also responsible to train personnel in the use of documentation, equipment, and associated processes. 18. Technical resource for other departments within AEM, and will provide support of the company objectives as defined by the Directors of Manufacturing and Operations. 19. PCB Assembly Responsibilities: a. Automated Equipment - Understand operation, programs and control. b. Screen Printer - Create screen printer programs, verify print and paste deposition, order stencils as required c. Reflow Oven - Create and validate temperature profiles, verify solderability, log and maintain results d. Wave Solder Machine - Create and validate temperature profiles, verify solderability, log and maintain results e. Have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures utilized in circuit board manufacturing f. Validate panel drawings as required g. Document problems with customer's designs such as, but not limited to, land patterns, package style, component selection, etc. and forward to Project Engineer for follow up h. Machine Programs # Program and validate machine programs during NPI or ECN implementation phase of a build. Have the skill set to make program changes as required. 20. Provide status updates to engineering manager and other stakeholders concerning progress on assigned activities.
