Multi-Tech is currently looking for a Product Test Engineer. The requirements of this position include:

• Assist in the design of test software and hardware for testing Multi-Tech products.
• Assist in the evaluation and testing of Multi-Tech’s prototypes.
• Perform thorough functional testing and performance testing prior to production release; analyze and summarize results.
• Work with other departments to support production testing, marketing information, technical literature, manuals, customer support, etc.
• Assist in the support of existing products in the areas of product improvements, customer complaints, “bug” fixes, customizations, etc… Including follow-up to make sure problems are resolved.
• Create test plans based on the Engineering Product Specification and Marketing Requirements Document.
• Report any design and reliability problems to Engineering.
• Work to automate testing of products, including reliability and endurance tests.
• Incorporate Development Engineer’s tests into Product Test Group test processes.


The ideal candidate will possess:

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or 2-5 years of equivalent experience and training.
• Computer programming skills using C or Ruby.
• Familiar with writing scripts using ZOC, Tera Term or some other telnet client software.
• Ability to operate lab equipment including logic analyzers, meters and scopes.
• Proficient with Microsoft and Linux Operating Systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and general office skills.
• Computer hardware and systems knowledge.
• Must be able to work individually or as part of a team, have good problem solving skills, detail oriented and be flexible based on job requirements.
• Excellent organizational, telephone, verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt easily to change as well as prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
