We are currently seeking a Finance Director for our Peripheral Vascular (PV) team.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Financial analysis and Business Support
1. Partner with PV Senior Leadership to proactively identify business and financial trends, identify areas for improvement and project future results. 2. Meet with PV management on a regular basis to provide meaningful financial information to enable them to manage their business in line with financial and business objectives. 3. Provide strategic input and leadership on financial operations and profitability. 4. Oversee budgeting and forecasting process for the PV Division to provide accurate revenue, expense forecasts and working capital 5. Perform financial modeling as required by the organization to assess the economic viability of proposed transactions and agreements.
Leadership and Management
1. Develop leadership competencies and foster an environment that results in an energetic, accountable work force that works as a team to fulfill company objectives. 2. Select, train, evaluate, develop and mentor employees to assure optimum motivation and retention of staff. 3. Perform ongoing analysis of the required skills and structure of the divisional accounting function and provide recommendations to ensure corporate objectives continue to be met in a high-growth, changing environment.
Accounting and Controls
1. Oversee and lead the ev3 PV accounting team and ensure appropriate controls and procedures are in place for a timely and accurate close of the company’s monthly, quarterly and year-end results in conformance with US GAAP and SEC requirements. This includes working with the Corporate Controllers office and providing direct and indirect oversight of the financial functions throughout the PV division. 2. Monitor, redesign, propose and implement changes to company policies to ensure adequate financial controls exist over company assets, obligations and procedures. 3. Ensure compliance with all internal and external reporting requirements including timely completion of internal disclosure statements. 4. Oversee the on-going compliance with SOX 404 for the PV Division. 5. Provide technical guidance and advice on accounting matters that arise in the PV operations. 6. Ensure proper communication and approval of unusual, complex and/or technical accounting matters with the Corporate Controllers office. 7. Review internal and external audit findings and recommendations and implement timely corrective actions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. * CPA, MBA or equivalent required.
* Minimum 10 years’ professional experience, including a minimum of four years in a manufacturing environment and a minimum of five years of management experience required. * Prior experience working in an international role for a
