SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Daily review of all Mfg Work Orders and related variances.
• Reviews and updates material cost standards on a regular basis.
• Determines labor and overhead rates and applies to material cost standards.
• Daily review of Purchase Price Variances (PPV’s)
• Assist Controller and Assistant Controller with monthly financial closing process as needed (prepare and analyze monthly Inventory and Gross Margin reports)
• Provides direction to Operations to ensure transactions are processed correctly.
• Validates cost of goods sold information at the end of each month.
• Creates reports and spreadsheets as needed by the Controller.
• Other duties as assigned.


EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• BA in Accounting.
• Minimum experience in cost accounting of 2 years is required.
• Strong cost accounting experience in a complex manufacturing environment. Familiarity with job costing, standard costing, applied overhead, absorption and inventory flow is essential. Experience in a multi-plant environment is helpful.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years experience overall is required.
