- Positions in this function research, develop and maintain clinical pharmacy programs, such as drug utilization review, prior authorization, health outcomes, disease state management, care management, and other specialty programs.
- Participate in PDL development and maintenance.
- Research new prescription drugs or new applications of existing drugs and develop drug use guidelines.
- Prepare drug review information for presentation to Medical Directors.
- Provide quality oversight to various programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manages and is accountable for professional employees and/or supervisors.
- Impact of work is most often at the local level.
