The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will work with a Vascular Medicine consultant to provide consultation and medical care to adult patients with vascular disease, including but not limited to general medical care and clearance prior to surgery or intervention, perioperative care, specific wound care, and thrombophilia evaluation. This consultative service will provide service to the inpatient setting at St. Mary's Hospital and Rochester Methodist Hospital. In addition, the NP/PA will provide consultation and management to patients in the Vascular Ulcer/Wound Healing Clinic and the Thrombophilia Clinic outpatient settings. The NP/PA will assist with arranging and providing follow-up care for specific vascular problems as needed after dismissal. (007197 or 007208)

Department: Vascular Medicine

Basic Qualifications: Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license (or eligible) and certification as an ANP, FNP, or ACNP (certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment date). Or graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice (or eligible).

Preferred Qualifications: Two to three years experience in the care of patients with cardiovascular disease and vascular disease strongly preferred.
