Position Description
Position Title: Major Gifts Officer
Location: Advancement Department, LSS of MN, 2485 Como Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55108
Description: LSS has an extraordinary opportunity for a Major Gifts Officer (MGO) to work with individual donors and potential donors throughout Minnesota. This person will collaborate with other MGOs to build and manage a comprehensive major gifts program to increase immediate and long term philanthropic resources of LSS. The MGO will collaborate with service directors, congregations, and other advancement staff to develop and implement fundraising strategies to expand LSS’s support for Minnesota’s most needy citizens.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a BA or equivalent experience. He or she must possess a successful record (3-5 years) in non profit advancement and major gifts acquisition. Strong knowledge of the Minnesota giving community and planned giving experience are desired. A driver’s license is required, CFRE is preferred.
