Our client is a growing developer of industrial print technologies and has an immediate need for a Software Engineer to support the development and continuation support of systems. We are looking for a strong real time embedded software developer who also has solid skills in GUI design, test and documentation.

Position Functions:

- Writes code, compiles programming and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming language and technologies.
- Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely and effective manner. Report task status to team.
- Interface with manufacturing for production transition.
- Replicate software and hardware defects in a lab environment and create proper documentation to track the issues.
- Coordinate code releases activities with configuration management, manufacturing and sales force

Position Requirements:

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
- Five + years experience with C++/C applications. Windows and Linux platform experience
- Experience with embedded system firmware design, development, modification, debug and test.
- Embedded real-time software development experience on various microprocessors / microcontrollers.
- Experience developing firmware for embedded applications using C or C++ programming language.
- Experience with development tools: compilers, simulators and debuggers in a Linux environment.
