Position Description

Mental Health Practitioner needed to provide intensive behavioral intervention to children with autism in their homes.

Positions Currently Available:
Full and Part-Time Line Staff—Must be available to work evenings and weekends.

Locations Currently Available:
Greater Twin Cities metro area

Wage:
$14.47 per hour to start

Mental Health Practitioner Qualifications:

The following is a list of the ways staff may qualify as a mental health practitioner:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields AND 2000 hours experience working w/ DD population OR


  • 6000 hours working with DD population OR


  • enrolled as a grad student in a behavioral science-related field.



  • NOTE:
    Permanent part-time positions may be available for persons who have less than the required number of hours working with individuals with disabilities. This position is designed to help persons who want to pursue this type of career complete the required number of hours to become a MHP, but hours and site locations are limited. Starting wage is $12 an hour and benefits are available for full-time staff once qualified as a Mental Health Practitioner.

    · Benefits available to qualified, full time employees include medical insurance, free dental, free life, free short-and long-term disability, and paid time off. Qualified, full time employees also become eligible for a 401K after one year of employment.
    · Qualified, half-time staff (20-29 hours/wk) accrue paid time off and, after one year of employment, are eligible for a 401K.
    · Qualified, less-than-half-time employees become eligible for a 401K after one year of employment.
