This position involves the application of statistical methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize data with conclusions & recommendations in the following areas:
a) Product Reliability assessments
b) Failure mode risk assessments
c) Parametric data analysis from Reliability testing
d) Accelerated Life testing
e) Customer unique reliability reporting - using customer unique methods for calculating reliability to provide reports.
f) MTBF/DPPM modeling for new products
g) Analyze field (workload or failure pareto) data to recommend changes to our Enterprise qualification process - both reliability and DMT stress tests.
The position also involves working with the development and product assurance engineering groups on reliability assessments of new technologies using tools such as FMEAs to improve product reliability. The role includes participation on the Advanced Drive Development (ADD) core team to help facilitate information flow to the Product Assurance group to help develop and enhance test procedures.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate has 5 years of work related experience and holds degrees in both engineering & mathematics (advanced statistics). Alternatively, a BSEE or BSME degree with emphasis on advanced statistics will be considered. Must have a track record of applying statistical theory and methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize numerical data to provide usable information to development & reliability engineering teams.
Candidate must have experience using Weibull , and be knowledgeable in reliability engineering topics including: Reliability Definitions, MTBF calculations, Confidence Intervals, Bayes' Theorem Application, Beta Distribution, Nonparametric and Related Test Designs, Weibull Distribution, Arrhenius Model .
