Position Description

We are currently looking for a Registrar to join our Lake Elmo/Woodbury MN Central Services Office. We are looking for someone to provide leadership to plan, organize and manage all of the activities related to the Records and Registration Department, including serving as the official authorized keeper of the college's student records. We are looking for someone that has an ability to innovate and create processes that serve Rasmussen College students.



Description of Job Responsibilies:

· Supervise the records, registration and scheduling functions, including transcript evaluations, Health Professions admissions and scheduling in order to provide maximum service to students while ensuring efficient and effective workflow.

· Participate and serve as part of the Operations Team. Lead initiatives as determined by the VPO.

· Responsible for collecting, recording, maintaining and reporting of student records within FERPA guidelines, e.g., grades, registration data, transcripts, mid-term verification, audits and other associated audits

· Provide leadership and develop appropriate recommendations for the implementation of related technology application in support of enhanced services offered through Registration and Records

· Collaborate with administrators, deans, faculty, IT and campus personnel to facilitate and improve services to students, including catalog and registration/records policy questions.

· Organize and seek articulation agreements with other Colleges as deemed appropriate by the VPAA and VPO.

· Train and develop campus based registrars to insure superior service to students and institutional compliance.

Additional Responsibilities:

· This job description is not intended to be all inclusive and the employee will also perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by the Vice President of Operations.

· Participate in professional development activities and serve on college committees that support the goals and objectives of the College.

· Provide training for campus personnel as required.

· Represent the College as required on relevant boards and within associations as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree required, Masters Degree preferred in student services, educational administration or a related area.

· 3 years of direct experience or 5 years in a related area.

· Demonstrated understanding of the application of technology to deliver Records and Registration services.

· A positive attitude and ability to plan and adapt to change

· Ability to collaborate effectively with college departments and cross-functional teams

· Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

The goal of this position is to increase the number of new students entering the college by increasing the percentage of enrollment to start, and to ensure that every entering student has accurate and timely information about financial aid, tuition arrangements, and enrollment procedures.
