Position Description
The Installer will be responsible for installing audio/visual systems integration equipment on customer sites in accordance with the proposal specifications and blueprint design in a quiet, clean and professional manner.
Additional duties include:
Stage equipment for upcoming project(s)
Load/unload equipment to be installed
Perform testing on installed equipment
Communicate installation status to the Project and Operations Manager
Provide basic system training, if needed
Perform preventative maintenance for customers
Make technical service calls, as needed
Perform other job duties, as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of audio/visual installation, products, and systems
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal form
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations
Ability to define problems, collect data, read blue prints, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and e-mail required. Internet knowledge and the ability to use the appropriate tools to research are essential.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 100 pounds
Qualifications:
Two year certification in electronics or closely related field preferred. I.C.I.A Certification a plus. Experience mounting A/V equipment along with low voltage and cabling termination. Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
