Position Description
St. David’s Center is searching for Mental Health Practitioners to work with children and adolescents with emotional disturbances . Responsibilities include implementing interventions and strategies aimed at improving clients’ social, emotional, and behavioral functioning. Goals are identified in client’s Individual Treatment Plan and may include improved self-regulation, problem solving, coping strategies, and social skills. Interventions include individual and family skills work.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university, and at least 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of mental health services to children with emotional disturbances,
OR
Graduate student in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields and formally assigned by an accredited college or university to an agency or facility for clinical training,
OR
Master's or other graduate degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university and less than 4,000 hours post-master's experience in the treatment of emotional disturbance.
*Must have experience working with the mental health population.
*Must have own vehicle and valid driver's license.
*Must be able to commit to the position for a minimum of 6 months to 1 year.
