Community Outreach to Professional/Technical

Founded in 1981, the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) is a non-profit professional and educational organization with more than 2,000 members today. AAJA serves Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders by encouraging young people to consider journalism as a career, developing managers in the media industry, and promoting fair and accurate news coverage. AAJA is committed to diversity in order to incorporate different viewpoints into newsrooms across the country.

Asian American Press serves as the cultural bridge between mainstream and Asian cultures. It celebrates Asian American cultures and their importance to Minnesota and the greater Midwest. It also serves as a medium for business opportunities between Asians and other people.

The Associated General Contractors of Minnesota (AGC) is a non-profit professional trade association that is dedicated to promoting opportunity and excellence in the building and highway construction industry throughout the State of Minnesota. Our mission is to enhance the legislative and economic strength, image and well-being of the Minnesota construction industry by adding value in all that we do; consistently maintaining our core values of skill, responsibility and integrity.

It is our goal at The Institute of Production and Recording to help our graduating students achieve their goals in the media, entertainment and production industry. Whether a graduate is leaving school with the desire to find a position, internship or start off as an entrepreneur, our Career Services staff will provide professional, courteous and experienced guidance in helping him or her to become a part of the media industry.

MAPA's purpose is to help accounting professionals attain the highest level of proficiency and integrity. We promote a spirit of professional cooperation, and provide a medium for the interchange of progressive ideas and techniques. We strive to ensure that the state's citizens have the benefit of accurate, impartial and professional services.

The National Association of African Americans in Human Resources is a national organization concerned with improving the professional development of African American Human Resource professionals, consultants and students. The NAAAHR is dedicated to providing a forum where African Americans can share, gain information and provide leadership on issues affecting their individual careers and the quality of work life for other African Americans.
