As the Technical Services Director in the North Central Region, you will get to set the region-wide technical priorities and research strategies while providing expert guidance on difficult technical challenges. Serve as subject matter expert in developing and implementing a cement and concrete manufacturing roadmap to carbon neutrality, supporting our outreach to the concrete and construction links of the Value Chain in the design and specification community. Collaborate and support company operational elements for business development and growth strategies aimed at organizational improvements that align with business goals and objectives to foster an environment leading to recognition as the partner of choice for the building industry. Serve as a company representative to industry committees, working groups, and trade organizations.
Minimum Qualifications:
1.Bachelor's degree in majors related to construction, engineering, related fields, or equivalent experience.
2.Five or more years of proven experience in the construction materials industry.
3.Comprehensive technical knowledge of concrete formulation, properties, design, application, durability, standards, production, testing, and quality assurance and control.
4.The Ideal candidate has a diverse background in aggregates, asphalt, cement, ready-mix concrete, and admixtures.
5.LEED, ACI, NRMCA, or other industry and sustainability accreditation or certification or the ability to obtain.
6.Proficient with MS Office suite of products and industry-related computer software (Command Alkon, Stonemont, Quadrel, etc.)
7.Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
8.Innate continuous improvement mindset, process methodology skills, and impressive change management capability.

Duties & Responsibilities
What you'll get to do:
1.*Set a positive safety example. Drive and support corporate and local safety initiatives.
2.*Identify and meet with key decision makers within the government, design community, DOT, airport authorities, etc., and develop relationships to aid the industry in market growth.
3.*Support stakeholder engagement and relevant convening, including policy and technical exchanges among government officials, R&D facilities, subject experts, etc.
4.*Seek out and investigate new technologies within the asphalt, aggregates, concrete, cement, and cementitious products industry and incorporate those technologies into our research and development program.
5.*Lead process improvement initiatives, best practices, and establish performance metrics (KPIs) to drive efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
6.*Seek out and investigate new chemical admixtures and additives for increasing value-added products for our customers.
7.*Partners with the sales team to understand customer needs and production requirements to aid in bidding and materials dynamic pricing.
8.*Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish finished products' proposed quality and reliability expectancy.
9.*Works to develop and maintain working partnerships with major customers and seeks out potential customers to partner with.
10.*Builds strong teams, develops quality control talent within the organization, and provides leadership and vision to foster employee growth and retention.
11.*Oversees region-wide quality control team to provide expert technical support to all area plants, quarries, job sites, and customers (internal and external).
12.*Attend and participate in appropriate national/regional meetings, technical panels, working groups, and committees to represent the industry.
13.*Ability to travel on short notice and for extended periods.
14.Perform other duties as assigned.
